The Hamptons at Hilldale is a four-story multifamily residential development located at the prominent intersection of Segoe Road and Vernon Boulevard in Madison’s vibrant Hilldale district. The building provides 59 apartments in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom layouts and is designed to complement the pedestrian-oriented character of the surrounding neighborhood. With its primary entry positioned at the corner of Segoe Road and Vernon Boulevard, the building establishes a strong architectural presence while providing direct access to the nearby Hilldale shopping and entertainment area.

The building’s massing responds thoughtfully to its urban context. While the main structure rises four stories, it steps down to three stories along the Regent Street and Vernon Boulevard frontages, creating a comfortable transition to adjacent development and maintaining a pedestrian-friendly scale. Along Segoe Road, a series of private residential entries and front porches activate the street edge and create a welcoming, neighborhood-scaled experience for residents and passersby alike.

Architecturally, the building presents a modern interpretation of classic Nantucket-style architecture. A restrained palette of gray fiber-cement siding with crisp white accents is paired with a base of light-colored natural stone that anchors the building to the site. The façades are carefully articulated to provide depth and texture while maintaining a cohesive architectural identity that balances timeless character with contemporary design.

The project prioritizes both functionality and livability, with most resident parking located underground and accessed from Vernon Boulevard, along with additional covered at-grade parking accessed from Regent Street.
