Clover Commons Apartments is a dynamic mixed-use expansion of Lucky’s 1313, located at1313 Regent Street near the UW–Madison campus. Originally converted from an auto repair garage in 2016, the building was intentionally designed for future vertical expansion, culminating in this thoughtfully planned addition. The project adds three levels of modern apartment homes above the existing Brew Pub and extends south across the reconfigured parking area to connect with new townhome-style units along Bowen Court. In total, Clover Commons includes 47 units and a community space with access to a rooftop patio, supported by 37 underground and 23 surface parking stalls.
Designed to complement both the commercial energy of Regent Street and the residential character of Bowen Court, the architecture blends masonry materials that match Lucky’s original façade with horizontal and panel composite siding. The townhomes feature individual street-level entries, enhancing the neighborhood feel. The development’s refined design evolved through community feedback, resulting in a more diverse mix of unit types, including three- and four-bedroom options, while maintaining the previously approved building scale.
