The ideal candidate will contribute to our team by:

  1. Leading project analysis, project profile, and site analysisduring initial phase of project development for small projects.
  2. Assisting with the collaboration of General Contractor/Estimator,Quality Control, subcontractors, and suppliers for development of costeffective and constructible solutions for design issues.
  3. Assisting & implementing the project scope and objectives,defining/interpreting the scope of project documents and owner requirements,project schedule.
  4. Assisting the Studio Manager and/or leading Project Team Kick-offMeeting and Collaborative Design Workshops.
  5. Effectively executing project scope, objectives, requirements,schedule, budget, and resources from schematic through construction documentphases independently or directing a small team.
  6. Mentoring others on how to create construction details, includingdetails and standards, and review shop drawings.
  7. Creating, developing, and revising construction documents using AutoCADor Revit including directing others in the development of constructiondocuments.
  8. Researching and identifying materials.
  9. Incorporating other disciplines designs. Ensuring effectiveproject collaboration between disciplines (e.g. MEP and Structural.)
  10. Independently reviewing shop drawings.
  11. Serving as a contact for the field during constructionadministration. Participating in on-site reviews.
  12. Communicating, interacting, and collaborating with team members,clients, general contractors, structural and civil engineers, and consultants.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture preferred orexperience in lieu of education is required.
  2. 4-6+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
  3. Knowledge of interior and exterior building code requirements isrequired.
  4. Must be capable of leading small projects independently isrequired.
  5. The ability to interpret and translate building and designrequirements into specifications is required.
  6. The ability to lead and manage projects through your own work and/or direct the team is required.
  7. Outstanding customer service skills when interacting with internaland external customers are required.
  8. The ability to work collaboratively with other team members isrequired.
  9. Strong organizational skills are required.
  10. Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) are required.
  11. Strong creative problem-solving skills and a high attention todetail is required.
  12. Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, andspeaking, are required.
  13. The ability to develop working relationships with Consultants,Clients, and General Contractors is required.
  14. Previous experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit isrequired. Proficiency in Bluebeam or other pdf editors required.
  15. The ability to effectively train and mentor less seasoned teammembers is preferred.
  16. Previous experience in multi-family, mixed-use, and commercialprojects is preferred.
  17. Experience with sustainable design and construction practices ispreferred.
  18. Wisconsin Driver License required.
  19. Pursing AIA and/or NCARB licensure preferred.
